Academic Curriculum

• Dive deep into diving physics, physiology, and equipment knowledge
• Master dive-environment understanding and marine ecology conservation awareness
• Learn dive safety management and risk assessment skills
• Develop professional ethics and a strong sense of responsibility as a certified divemaster

In-Water Training

• Refine 24 core dive skills to demonstration level
• Learn professional techniques for handling emergencies underwater
• Cultivate excellent buoyancy control and underwater navigation abilities
• Master practical skills for leading dive teams

Practical Application

• Assist in completing at least two open water courses
• Participate in and assist with at least two diving events
• Complete assessments on dive-skill development knowledge
• Maintain a professional dive log and build practical experience

Course Requirements

Prerequisites

• Be at least 18 years old
• Hold a Rescue Diver certification (or equivalent)
• Completed the Emergency First Response (EFR) course with a valid certification
• Have at least 40 logged dives
• Provide a medical statement signed by a physician proving fitness for diving activities

Materials & Equipment

• Full PADI Divemaster course materials (including Divemaster manual, maps, etc.)
• Divemaster skill-poster set (showcasing all 24 required skills)
• Personal professional dive equipment (available for rental or purchase)
• Optional divemaster-specific buoyancy vest (BCD) for purchase

Q: How long does the Divemaster course take to complete ?
A: The full-time course typically takes 2–3 weeks. Part-time pacing depends on your schedule and is usually completed within 2–3 months.
 

Q: Do I need to bring all my dive gear ?
A: We recommend bringing basic personal gear (mask, snorkel, fins, dive computer). Other professional equipment can be rented during the course or purchased after consulting with instructors to find what suits you best.
 

Q: Is the certification recognized globally ?
A: Yes, PADI is the world's largest dive training organization. Your Divemaster certification is recognized in over 186 countries worldwide.
 

Q: Will limited English proficiency affect learning ?
A: Heart Ocean offers instruction in Chinese, and all materials have Chinese translations and explanations. You don’t need to worry about language barriers.
 

Q: Does the course include accommodation ?
A: Accommodation is not included in course fees. However, we can help you book nearby quality lodging and offer special discounts for our students.

• Must be at least 18 years old and in good health
• Must hold a valid PADI Rescue Diver certification
• Within the past 12 months, must provide a physician-signed declaration of fitness for diving (click here for the health declaration form)
• The PADI Divemaster application fee (NTD 5600) is not included in course fees
• Internship-days accommodation is not included
• Personal gear is not included; please bring basic items: swimwear, a change of clothes, a towel, and plastic bags
• Meals include omnivore or ovo-lacto vegetarian options. Vegan meals are not provided, but kitchen access is available during off-hours for vegan students
